EL AÑO INTERNACIONAL DE LA QUÍMICA EN CUBA
Abstract
Este artículo está dedicado a la celebración del Año Internacional de laQuímica. Se argumenta la razón de esa designación por parte de la ONU y los
objetivos que se persiguen en Cuba en este año 2011. Al estar dedicada
internacionalmente a Marie Slodowska-Curie se hace una breve pincelada de la
vida de esta extraordinaria mujer. Igualmente se hace una breve descripción
histórica de los inicios de la Química en nuestro país en el siglo XIX y se resalta el
empuje alcanzado después del triunfo de la Revolución, así como el esfuerzo
futuro que espera de nosotros nuestra querida tierra.
