AVANCES EN LA GENÉTICA MOLECULAR. IMPACTO DE LOS MICROARNS EN LAS HEMOPATÍAS MALIGNAS
Abstract
Los microARNs son pequeños transcriptos de ácido ribonucleico que nocodifican para proteínas. Su función está relacionada con la regulación de la
expresión génica, ya que intervienen postranscripcionalmente con el ácido
ribonucleico mensajero complementario. Se conoce que participan en la
regulación de diversos procesos biológicos como la proliferación celular, la
diferenciación y la apoptosis. Sus perfiles de expresión están modificados en
gran número de tipos de cáncer, entre ellos las neoplasias hematológicas. Los
conocimientos hasta ahora adquiridos abren perspectivas para que en el futuro
pudieran desarrollarse nuevos enfoques terapéuticos basados en este tipo
particular de moléculas.
