Dr.C. Julio Noel González Jiménez (1928-2016)
Abstract
En la mañana del domingo 17 de enero de este año 2016 dejó de latir el generoso y apasionado corazón de quien realizara el primer trasplante de corazón en Cuba, en 1985. Graduado de médico en 1954, en su querido Hospital Universitario "General Calixto García" dio sus primeros pasos como cirujano general con grupos quirúrgicos dirigidos por los doctores Raúl Trillo Gómez y Alejandro Carrió Caballero. Este último fue quien le habló, por primera vez, de trasplantes de órganos. Comenzó la práctica de cirugía torácica y cardiovascular con la tutoría del doctor Antero Sánchez.Downloads
