UN HOMENAJE AL DR. ABELARDO BUCH LÓPEZ (1912—1996), PADRE DE LA NEFROLOGÍA CUBANA
Abstract
Han transcurrido 50 años desde que se fundó en Cuba el “Instituto de Nefrología” que ostenta el nombre del Profesor “Dr. Abelardo Buch López”, y sus resultados siguen siendo orgullo de la medicina cubana. Con una actividad sencilla, pero profundamente emotiva, su actual director, el Dr. Guillermo Guerra Bustillo, junto a su equipo de trabajo, ante la presencia de algunos invitados y de los fundadores que aún viven y fueron testigos y partícipes de aquella epopeya de la medicina cubana en los primeros años de la Revolución que triunfó el 1ro. de enero de 1959, evocó con emoción y respeto, los inicios de la especialidad en Cuba, el trabajo abnegado de sus fundadores y el papel de vanguardia que desempeñó en aquellos días el Profesor de Medicina Interna, Dr. Abelardo Buch López, padre de la nefrología cubana, destacando la importancia de seguir su ejemplo, para las presentes y futuras generaciones de nefrólogos.Downloads
