Discurso en Conmemoración del 70 Aniversario de la Fundación de la Sociedad Cubana de Ciencias Físicas y Matemáticas y de su Revista Científica.
Abstract
Nos reúne hoy el propósito de hacer memoria de varias acciones vitales, definitorias de la comunidad de matemáticos cubanos. Se ha dicho que conservar la memoria conserva la identidad. Y nuestra identidad es, en definitiva, lo que hemos llegado a ser, como individuo o como grupo mediante nuestras acciones, decisiones y convicciones. Por tanto, para sentirnos más identificados como matemáticos cubanos, debemos traer a la memoria aquellas acciones que, aún bajo circunstancias desfavorables, diseminaron la curiosidad por conocer y aplicar con eficacia la técnica y la ciencia de los números y las figuras.

The journal Anales de la Academia de Ciencias de Cuba protects copyright, and operates with a Creative Commons License 4.0 (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial License 4.0).
