Conmemoración del Centenario de la muerte de Joaquín M. Albarrán Domínguez.
Abstract
El miércoles 17 de enero del 2012 constituyó una fecha de gran importancia para la historia de la ciencia cubana y universal, al conmemorarse ese día el centenario de la muerte de Joaquín M. Albarrán Domínguez, científico excepcional.
Con justeza se ha considerado que la gloria de su obra no solo pertenece a Cuba, la patria que lo vio nacer y a la que nunca olvidó en la lejanía de la emigración, ni a España: país donde se hizo médico y a la cual lo unirían estrechos vínculos familiares, ni siquiera a Francia, donde se develó y floreció su genialidad científica, imponiendo su impronta para la posteridad: su obra es tan abarcadora que pertenece a la humanidad toda. Y así como fue recordado en 1962 en el cincuentenario de su muerte a propuestas del Consejo Mundial de la Paz, en el 2012 ha sido honrada su memoria al cumplirse el primer siglo de su temprana desaparición física por la universalidad y vigencia de su sólida obra científica.
