The Soberana 01 (Sovereign 01) scientific result from one of the science-technology-society perspectives
Keywords:
science-technology-society approach, Soberana 01, theoretical frameworkAbstract
The text proposes a reflection from one of the science-technology-society perspectives that, as a starting point, adopts the concrete practice of obtaining the scientific result "Cuban vaccine candidate against the virus SARS-CoV-2 Soberana 01" and, as a point of arrival, one of the possible routes of inquiry for the construction of a theoretical framework appropriate to said result. Consequently, taking as a reference point the answer that Fidel Castro Ruz gave to a journalist in 1987 about how to explain to the West the Cuban miracle in medicine, the first part of the text briefly characterizes the factors that favored obtaining the vaccine candidate, described by the main authors; the second part expounds on the essential features of the object Soberana 01 and, based on them, a proposal of theoretical levels in which it can be framed.Downloads
