The Management Model of young human potential for science, technology and innovation in Cuba

Introduction: Human potential is the most important resource of any organization, since its success or failure depends on it.
Objective: To stablish a model of management of young human potential for science, technology and innovation in Cuba, that favors the intensive transformation of the results of science in the production of goods and services with high social and economic impact, that contributes to the development of the country and the improvement of the quality of life of the people.
Methods: It is used action research throughout the study, carried out between 2018 and 2023. It was developed the Management Model of young human potential for science, technology and innovation in Cuba, with the premises and procedure for implementation, with the description of its components, adjusted to the characteristics of the country, adaptable to all sectors, as an alternative to close the cycle of training scientific and technological competencies and skills in students and young people.
Results: The conception of the Model with the actions of the “Scientific Accelerator of Young Talent in Cuba”, program that will allow a greater leap in the closing cycle of the training of highly prepared young people, capable of promoting the connection of science with the economy and the society, to starting from the production of goods and services with high added value, making intensive use of knowledge, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals, the National Plan for the Economic and Social Development 2030 and the priorities included in the governing documents of the State and the Cuban government.
Conclusions: It was validated the effectiveness of the Model through the “Scientific Accelerator of Young Talent” Program, which is implemented with different levels of progress throughout the country. The previous diagnosis with the solution projections was the basis for the development of the Policy for the Care of Children, Adolescents and Youth.
