Hypnotherapeutic algorithm for monosymptomatic nocturnal enuresis. Construct validation
Keywords:
hypnosis, nocturnal enuresis, construct validation, factor analysis, principal component analysisAbstract
Introduction: Nocturnal enuresis is a frequent reason for consultation, according to the Spanish Association of Pediatrics, the figures move between (6-32)% at five years of age, (8-28)% at seven years, (5-24)% at nine years, (3-17)% at 11 years, (1-6)% at 13 years and (1-4)% at 15 years.
Objective: To validate constructively a hypnotherapeutic algorithm for monosymptomatic infantile enuresis.
Methods: For the validation of the construct, they were considered the dimensions with the largest number of variables in order to apply factor analysis and concomitantly the analysis of the principal components.
Results: The Factor Analysis of the Principal Component Analysis was feasible, since factors 1, 2 and 3 are those that should be maintained, expressed in the sedimentation graph and in the total variance explained, through the accumulated percentages in the initial eigenvalues and the sum of the squared saturations of the extraction and rotation with 64.24 %.
Conclusions: The construct validation of the designed algorithm showed its pertinence, evidencing the suitability of the Factorial Analysis in the data set when the Kaiser- Meyer-Olkin test throw a value close to 1 (0.714) and the Bartlett sphericity test a significance level of 0.00, so p is equal or minor than 0.05, rejecting hypothesis of nullity since there is a correlation between 2 or more variables.Downloads
