Abstract

Introduction: In the context of globalized economies, management and transfer of knowledge play a crucial role in organizational growth.

Objective: To analyze management and transfer of knowledge in universities.

Methods: A systematic review of the scientific literature was conducted, based on a rigorous search protocol. Fifty scientific articles were selected from the Scopus, Web of Science, and SciELO databases, using keywords such as: management, knowledge transfer, and universities. The inclusion criteria were articles published between 2013 and 2024.

Results: Analysis of the documents revealed that knowledge transfer in universities was the most frequently studied variable (64%), while knowledge management in universities accounted for 36%. Innovation and culture were the most frequently mentioned secondary variables in the reviewed literature. The review shows a growing interest in knowledge transfer and a predominance of studies using quantitative approaches.

Conclusions: Opportunities were identified for future research related to knowledge management, the development of mixed-methods studies, and the importance of analyzing understudied populations, especially undergraduate and graduate students.
