Conmemorando los 50 años de la creación de la Comisión Nacional para la Academia de Ciencias

Abstract

En su Informe Central al Primer Congreso del Partido Comunista de
Cuba, su entonces Primer Secretario y Líder Histórico de la Revolución
Cubana, Comandante Fidel Castro apuntó en certera síntesis el estado del
quehacer científico al momento del triunfo de la Revolución (cito):
“La investigación científica y técnica era de hecho desconocida en el
país. En 1958 la educación superior no preparaba para satisfacer las
necesidades del desarrollo y mucho menos las actividades de investigación. La
urgencia de una revolución científica y técnica en el proceso revolucionario
condujo al desarrollo de la actividad científica en diversos organismos y a la
fundación de la Academia de Ciencias en 1962” (fin de la cita).
En este encuentro de hoy, a la distancia de cincuenta años de aquel
momento gestacional, se hace obligado dedicar una reflexión necesaria y rendir
un justo tributo a la obra que, con más aciertos que errores, ha llevado adelante
durante este medio siglo la institución que nos reúne.

The journal Anales de la Academia de Ciencias de Cuba protects copyright, and operates with a Creative Commons License 4.0 (Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial License 4.0).
