Peligro de inundaciones por intensas lluvias en Cuba: Comportamientos
Abstract
En este trabajo se expone el riesgo de inundación resultante de las precipitaciones propias del clima en Cuba, así como algunas reflexiones sobre la manera de reducir sus afectaciones, tanto en los campos, como en las urbanizaciones. Se plantea como algunas de las razones o comportamientos que inciden, la cartografía de los territorios propensos a inundarse y la dirección del flujo de las aguas durante los picos de inundación. Ello tiene primerísima importancia, pues con esta información se podrán tomar las medidas necesarias para reducir el riesgo. Este análisis nos conduce a la conclusión de que debemos modificar nuestro paradigma constructivo, para tomar en cuenta las amenazas climáticas a que estamos expuestos, como consecuencia del calentamiento global.
