Cuban adolescents and young people in the areas of family and couples (2015-2019)
Keywords:
adolescents, young people, family, couple, modes of interactionAbstract
Introduction. Cuba is going through a changing context that impacts the family sphere. This requires new perspectives towards families from science and politics. The place that adolescents and young people occupy in the sphere of family and couples, and their modes of interaction, contributes to the resizing of youth policies. Methods. A mixed approach was used and the information resulting from the applied techniques was triangulated. The sample was representative by age groups and areas of residence. Gender and rights approaches were considered. Results and Discussion. Scientific information on adolescents and young people in the referred areas has been systematized. Modes of interaction of these populations were characterized according to affective relationships, information/orientation and participation in these spaces. The orientation program “Learning to live as a family and as a couple” was designed and implemented from the methodology of popular education. Conclusions: Problems related to these populations are studied, without singling out -sufficiently- their dynamics. This limits the possibilities of understanding interaction patterns that occur in these contexts and leads to the violation of some rights. Featuring adolescents and young people interactions on the family and the couple sphere was essential in order to develop some guidance actions for bringing into focus their most meaningful needs.Downloads
